Specifically designed for those with limited space, the Benelec 0202310 is a shorter version of the popular 0202320 model. It has a frequency range of 3.5-30MHz and is an antenna designed and built for long life. Constructed with stainless steel elements that guarantee high resistance to corrosion, mean that the 0202310 antenna will significantly outlast similar antennas. Trees, buildings or other structures can be used to suspend the antenna, however it is worthwhile to keep in mind that it is best to avoid running the antenna over iron-roofed buildings. This reduces the effective height above ground, and, as with all HF antennas, the old rule “the higher the better” applies when wanting to extract maximum potential from your antenna. The antenna can be mounted either horizontally between two supports, or as an inverted “vee” (one high central support and two lower end supports). There are two sets of mounting points. Where there is plenty of space, the insulators at the ends can be used to mount the antenna between two structures (please note the total length of the 0202310 is 34 metres). Where space is limited connect to the tie off points at the top of the two small round boxes, in which case the remaining 6m wire sections either side are brought down to the base of the support structures and secured. If mounted this way the 0202310 antenna will be total 22 metres in length. * * Note: In this situation the support structures should be a minimum height of 10 metres.
