Countrywide Communications Phil Jones tragically loses
his life

Phil Jones a long
time friend and colleague of Benelec and the
Professional Radio industry last week tragically lost
his life when the plane he was piloting crashed while
landing at Moree Airport.
Phillip Jones, local business identity Digby Boland, his
wife and their daughter were killed when Phil’s Piper
Saratoga crashed about 900 metres north of Moree Airport
about 8pm (AEDT) on Wednesday 30th March. Two passengers
survived the crash.

SUNSWIFT is a state-of-art solar-powered car designed
and built by a group of students from the University of
New South Wales. SUNSWIFT smashed the Guinness World
Record for the fastest Solar-Powered vehicle by over 10
km/h.
Benelec is a sponsor of the SUNSWIFT project and proud
to be part of the SUNSWIFT success. Benelec supported
the team with their necessary communication equipment &
wireless broadband infrastructure to
ensure the team is constantly in touch during test runs
and all the races. |
