The Bicone antenna is an economical, receive only unit, ideally suited to the measurement of EMI and EMF.
It is constructed of two conical dipole halves centre fed through a Balun transformer. The Balun offers
decoupling between the feed cable and the radiating elements, as well as a balanced feed system for good
stable radiation pattern performance. The broadband frequency capability of this antenna eliminates the
need for band switching, antenna substitution, or element extension.
The compact size is advantageous for use in anechoic chambers and shielded enclosures.
EMI & EMF measurements and other applications requiring broadband reception with a dependable
radiation pattern.
The antenna Mounting tube and elements are constructed of Stainless Steel. The centre hub is
delrin.
Radiating elements are removable for ease of transport and storage.
